Route, distance and sourcing

[edit]

The reported distance traveled appears to vary depending on the source from 16000km to 16400km:

I’m tempted to lean towards the 16400km value as I suspect the 16000km value has been reported due to being a nice round number, plus Cook’s self reported value exceeds this: https://twitter.com/hardestgeezer/status/1776712603533791258

Also, in the route section I have added a list of countries Cook traversed. I couldn’t find a secondary source for this and so I’ve referenced Cook’s instagram. I think in this case it meets the criteria of WP:SOCIALMEDIA, though if anyone disagrees I’m happy to remove it.

If others are fine with this I will go through the process of linking to the respective Wikipedia articles for each country at a later date Jaa.eem (talk) 22:24, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have just found a far better source for the countries list. Jaa.eem (talk) 22:36, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

“Controversy” section

[edit]

The section describes more of a dispute rather than any controversy. Might be more accurate to change the header. 2600:8803:AF03:DB00:58C:329A:F6D5:271 (talk) 20:18, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
