"Not called simply project"?
[edit]@Altenmann, you reverted what I added because it was not called simply "project". By your reasoning, then "Microsoft Project", which is also there, does not belong in the disambiguation, because it is not called simply "project". To my knowledge, this is why these pages exist, to add articles or titles that could be used in other article by mistake. Quote: "Disambiguation in Wikipedia is the process of resolving conflicts that arise when a potential article title is ambiguous, most often because it refers to more than one subject covered by Wikipedia, either as the main topic of an article, or as a subtopic covered by an article in addition to the article's main topic." Someone may enter an article by the same name, but be referring to something completely different. For example, "Project TJ" (which I included because of the record label) could be used for a project for the City of Tijuana, Mexico, which is also referred to as TJ. That way, if the people interested looks for it, will know which article to search for, which article they can create, or add to. SugaShikaoFans (talk) 06:54, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, "Microsoft Project" is often called simply "Project", because "Project" is a smartass name of the software tool and Microsoft is its author. Just like Microsoft Pascal and Borland Pascal. And if there will be project for Tijuana then the article title will be Project TJ (Tijuana) or something. And the article Project TJ will have a note on top:
But as I see there is no even "Project TJ" article. - Altenmann >talk 07:18, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- As I said in my talk page reply to you, I still believe those 2 should exist in the disambiguation pages, but I will not revert, so you can have it your way.
- I don't agree with what you say, because, there is more confusion in a title of an article named "Project TJ" (existing or not, like in this case, because I related it to a Universal Music Group label), than in one called "Microsoft Project", which clearly refers to the trademark "Microsoft".
