Title

[edit]

I know that dropping definite articles is common among my fellow Eastern Europeans, but this article really should be titled: "Prohibition in the Russian Empire and Soviet Union". Dahn (talk) 04:54, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I renamed it from "Prohibition in Russian Empire and Soviet Union" to "Prohibition in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union" (two times "the").--Patrick (talk) 13:59, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tschelisheff

[edit]

FYI: This article discusses how Tschelisheff influenced Czar Nicholas and the government to institute Prohibition. These details seem to me worth inclusion. --Mcorazao (talk) 15:02, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs improvement

((A post by IP moved into separate section. - Altenmann >t 18:38, 5 January 2014 (UTC))) Oh boy, this could use some work. There's a lot of social and economic issues that are barely broached in this one. I may just register to work on this article. I realize I'm probably posting in the wrong section, but I will learn. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.90.21.165 (talk) 10:01, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
