Work needed

[edit]

This article would benefit from more work. eg it would be good to get a better understanding of why Hunter re-started the Branestawm series after a gap of 33 years. Perhaps there are some profiles or interviews with Hunter or about the Branestawm series that exist online? Davidpatrick (talk) 18:18, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given the important contributions of the series' illustrators, a section devoted to their input would be valuable. Simon the Likable (talk) 03:15, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've come across another couple of books which could be listed here: Professor Branestawm's Dictionary and Professor Branestawm's Do-It-Yourself Handbook. Don't know anything else about them though... Sparrer (talk) 18:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've got the Dictionary: it's one of those "silly definitions" books. For example, "Caerphilly: How to cross a road in Wales". Loganberry (Talk) 17:26, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And I've got Professor Branestawm's Do-It-Yourself Handbook, by Norman Hunter and illustrated (in a pleasantly 70s line-art way) by Jill McDonald. It was published by The Bodley Head in 1976 and by Puffin Books in 1979. It's a collection of Blue Peter-style construction projects - a spirograph, Pepper's ghost in a shoebox, a pinhole camera etc.; no stories. Adam Sampson (talk) 15:06, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
