General usage

I don't understand why this article seems to be all about legal and political uses of the phrase. It's in genaral use and just as likely to be used in a sentence such as "I've lost my phone so I've borrowed my wife's pro tem". It just means "for now". I've never heard it used in any specifically legal or political context. Phil Last (talk) 20:51, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
