The result of the move request was: Not moved. All editors are reminded to be civil and kind, especially when dealing with rather emotional issues. Anyway, questions on which article pro-life should redirect to are valid, but are definitely outside the scope of this particular move request. See WP:RFD. Pro-life (disambiguation) → Pro-life – Per coming across the pro-life page and being redirected to anti-abortion I am suggesting that this disambiguation page be moved to pro-life instead. This is a complicated and policitally divisive issue. For reasons of accuracy and neutrality it isn't appropriate to redirect a broad and ambiguous topic to an article named according to loaded non-neutral terminology. The debate is better covered in abortion debate. There are also other articles like pro-life movement and culture of life that readers may be looking for when searching for with the pro-life phrasing, and those terminologies are synonymous with pro-life as its sometimes used while anti-abortion is not synonymous as it excludes euthanasia, stem cell, cloning, and other issues involved in these related movements. I don't seek to get sucked into a politically charged debate, but I think it's best we remain accurate and as neutral as possible. There are various subjects and meanings related to pro-life and readers are best positioned decide which aspect or aspect of the subject they want to read, including for example the anti-abortion aspect covered in that article. Thank you for your kind consideration. I hope I've explained my reasoning, I intially started the discussion on the pro-life redirect talk page and it was suggested to me that a requested move is the appropriate protocol. - Object Looks like whitewashing and a cover up of the anti-abortion activities that these organisations are known for. Let us just call a spade a spade. The Banner talk 21:54, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Why should readers be directed to the anti abortion article when there are also article on the pro-life movement in the U.S. and other articles on the disambiguation page including abortion debate that cover related subject matter. You also haven't addressed the problems with focusing solely on abortion when euthanasia, cloning, stem cells, death penalty, and other issues are also involved. Can you please address these specific concerns in your argument? Candleabracadabra (talk) 23:15, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- Don't forget the murder on abortion-physicians and bombing of clinics, the most well known activities of pro-life-extremists. Every time I came across pro-life activists (not the extremists!) they were protesting against abortion. And it did not matter where I came across them: The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or Ireland... The Banner talk 23:37, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

- Oppose. The question is not whether "pro-life" has other meanings, but whether it has a primary meaning. No evidence has been presented to suggest that the current redirect is not the primary meaning associated with the phrase. bd2412 T 02:29, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose per BD2412. But if there is a move, please WP:FIXDABLINKS first. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 14:03, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
