Prentice rule example
[edit]I removed the Prentice rule example, because it is not written for a nonspecialist audience. As it was it was incomprehensible to anyone not familiar with the specialized terminology and notation of optometry. It could perhaps be included if rewritten in plain English, without assuming specialized knowledge.--Srleffler (talk) 06:57, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Practical usage.

1. How about an illustration of the difference that prismatic lenses make in a user's view over that of regular lenses?
2. How about an illustration to visually explain what it meant by the "prism dioptres" section?
3. Can prismatic lenses be included with bifocals, progressive lenses, polarizing, tinting, Crizol lenses, etc?
4. Hillary Rodham Clinton used prismatic lenses temporarily after her concussion, although her article doesn't mention that. What other conditions require these lenses (the text is vague) and are they always used temporarily, like a tool to train the eyes, or are they sometimes used permanently?
There seems to be a lot unsaid here. Thank you for your time, Wordreader (talk) 17:42, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
ADDITION: Should I assume that prism correction is unavailable to contact lens wearers? Thanks, Wordreader (talk) 18:17, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, make that "Crizal", not Crizol. Is the "fresnel prism" used in eyeglasses the same as this kind of prism? Thanks again, Wordreader (talk) 02:42, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Direction of displacement
[edit]How do you describe (as Rx) directional displacement? Prism 1 is 1cm deviation at 100cm, but WHICH DIRECTION? Which Axis? 12.33.223.210 (talk) 17:30, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
