Complete Rewrite

[edit]

As I describe on StackExchange, I believe this article was completely wrong and was describing what is better known as the identity theorem. The only source that says anything like what the previous version of this article said was this MathWorld article, which was not written by a regular MathWorld contributor; it's the only article on MathWorld that author has written. The only source cited by that MathWorld article, a footnote from Stephen Wolfram's A New Kind of Science available online, supports the my rewrite of this Wikipedia article; I cite it several times (and a couple more supporting sources besides). Aesthetics

[edit]

If only for aesthetic reasons, es+t-eset=0 needs to be "mathematicized". 31.52.251.240 (talk) 10:01, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
