George Plimpton

George Plimpton wrote a great article (in Sports Illustrated?) about Ivy League bands (in the 70s?) if it can be found and linked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.158.150.197 (talk) 15:23, 8 August 2009
Lafayette never really banned the band -- they didn't appear on the schedule that often as an away game and then when they did started to impose halftime restrictions (they had no band themselves). The article mentioned a 1996 show that the band did at Lafayette but there was no game that year. It is not clear when the last show at Lafayette was but the idea of an 11 yr ban starting in 1996 seems more myth than fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.84.177.164 (talk) 03:34, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
My apologies. The incident took place in 1993. Re-added the anecdote with the proper date and a citation. User:RWEnoch (User talk:RWEnoch) 17:40, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Adding unreferenced tag
[edit]There are two references total for an article of this length, so I went ahead and added the unreferenced tag. I will probably add the references myself in a few days. Icebob99 (talk) 16:26, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
