[edit]The Malkiel Incident was a one time event posted on the Magazine's website without authorization by the editors or publisher. It should not be the highlight of a three sentence article.
Items should not be censored from Wikipedia on account of their being "one time" events. It was written about in the campus newspaper, so it was obviously newsworthy. Joamiq (talk) 18:33, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Why I reverted article to a previous version
[edit]Previously, the article read as follows:
The Princeton Tory is a student-run conservative publication at Princeton University. The Tory was founded in 1984.[1] While the Tory is Princeton's primary source of conservative intellectual discourse, it is known to create campus controversy[2] and its writers have come under fire for reporting inaccuracies[3].
References
[edit]
This article is a stub. It barely touches upon the purpose of the magazine, its history, its successes, or its mistakes. By adding a reference to a singular incident that could potentially defame the publication's reputation without adding any other information about the magazine, we are not being true to Wikipedia's goal of objectivity. When this article is longer and more complete, the reference to the Malkiel blunder should be mentioned. Writing about it now is irresponsible.
