Grandchildren relevant?
[edit]What would the the encyclopedic relevance be of Christina's totally unknown grandchildren? I have removed them time and time again (and those of her sisters too) because WP is not a genealogy site and is not supposed to indulge in random name-dropping for the sake of name-dropping. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 10:41, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- If we take a look at high-quality articles (rated Good or Featured), I believe we will not find grandchildren mentioned by name unless they are notable. Surtsicna (talk) 11:02, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- Agree - unless they're mentioned by high-quality secondary sources focusing on Christina, we shouldn't be adding them in unnecessarily. Hchc2009 (talk) 17:33, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- Removed them again. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 07:57, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Oscar Magnuson
[edit]I'm wondering if Oscar might merit his own article (or if his brand might). Googling his name comes up with a lot more mentions of his own professional endeavours than anything about his family. The first result is his website (http://oscarmagnuson.com/), then an article on his work, then Christina. There's also this (http://news.oscarmagnuson.com/), this (https://www.instagram.com/oscarmagnusonspectacles/), and this (https://www.piccadillyopticians.co.uk/brand/oscar-magnuson/). He does have an article in Swedish but it's very short. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2angelgoats (talk • contribs) 11:11, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- All articles must have reliable sources. And designing eyewear does not make anyone notable for Wikipedia unless they have had independent reliable media coverage for their designs. That does not include the designer h-self or an employer, if it's the only reliable source. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 15:55, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Manner of address
[edit]How is Princess Christina, Mrs Magnuson addressed in Sweden? Normally, a royal princess would address by style e.g. royal highness. But, this is lost that style as a result of an unequal marriage, I wondered what she is called now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.71.179.109 (talk) 14:09, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
- Prinsessan very formally and Christina otherwise. Today all Swedes except the royal highnesses are adressed by give name. In English you, of course, and about her either Princess Christina (no HRH) or Christina Magnuson or Mrs Magnuson. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 14:29, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
Name format (II)
[edit]Much confusion and damage to article done when this was removed:
Because of her morganatic marriage, she lost her style of Royal Highness and from the king received the courtesy title of Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, a policy begun by the previous king when her older sisters Margaretha and Désirée were married before her. Under the Swedish constitution at that time, they, as women, and their descendants were not eligible to inherit the throne.
Needs to be sourced and reinstated asap. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 11:47, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
