problems

[edit]

We're having trouble putting our references in our article. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To put/add references to the article, please put <ref>Insert reference here</ref> at the end of the sentence that must have reference/s. Thanks. E Wing (talk) 03:13, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think that capitalization of the title is not in keeping with the guidelines. It should be "Preventing bullying in the classroom". You also should add more categories and page nos. for the books you looked at. 115.131.4.46 (talk) 14:10, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

specific suggestions

[edit]

Ladies, here are some comments and suggestions.

References and citations
  • The instructions for inserting references should be in your class notes. I've done one. Please fix the others to reflect where you obtained the information. Please add page numbers. Please be specific so your information can be confirmed.
links to terms
  • The article needs wikilinks. Someone has suggested you merge the article with the larger one on "bullying" and that might be a good idea eventually. Take a look at that article and see if you can improve it. If you don't want to do that, you can include more material on national/international efforts to deal with bullying (basically expanding a section of the bullying article).
Comprehensiveness
  • At this point, although your article is clear and contained, it needs further information to be considered comprehensive. What kinds of efforts have been made to prevent bullying? Or deal with Bullying. What are some major bullying incidents (with wikilinks) that have brought bullying to the front page? Why is this a problem? How big a problem is it? Is it typically an US problem, or is it widespread in other cultures as well?
Integration into the body of knowledge
  • How does this fit into the broader understanding of child behavior? where does this fit into the body of knowledge, generally and specifically on wikipedia? Links to other wikipedia articles that deal with bullying and with educational psychology would help. Categories also would help, as would an effort to place this into a Wikiproject.

Good work so far. Keep at it. auntieruth (talk) 18:31, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

If it is to merge anywhere it should go into school bullying not bullying. --Penbat (talk) 21:53, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe but the Merge banner is wrong and should point to school bullying not bullying. The implementation of the merge is something for discussion. I think it best in the first instance to move it all into school bullying.--Penbat (talk) 09:14, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NOT#HOWTO; the topic of prevention may be big enough for another subject, but this article isn't it. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 09:26, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Im doing a cleanup of non-encyclopedic material here before doing a merge to school bullying at some point. --Penbat (talk) 12:14, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
