Name - a portmanteau?

I haven't seen anything in the literature to suggest that. Seems more likely that "Prestco" (PRessed STeel COmpany) made a neat pun for their refrigerators, which are cold. OwainDavies ^(about)_(talk) edited at 09:54, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
