Expansion of article
[edit]I have just created this page as you can see. I am interested in expanding this article in terms of the article discussing the role of the head of the organizing committee as well as the evolution of the role. There are many notable organizing committee presidents, many of which have held political office as well. If anyone has any ideas on how to expand and enhance this page, then feel free to share your ideas here. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 19:41, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
who headed Innsbruck 2012 organizing committee
[edit]I have been expanding this article somewhat. I can't find who headed the Innsbruck 2012 YOG organizing committee. Does anyone know who did? --MusicGeek101 (talk) 15:13, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Got it --MusicGeek101 (talk) 15:22, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Buenos Aires 2018
[edit]Do we by any chance know who is heading the Buenos aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games orgnaizing committee yet? I would like to include the name of that individual if someone has been selected already. --MusicGeek101 (talk) 15:26, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
Melbourne 1956: Dunc Gray?
[edit]Where does this come from? There's nothing about any such role in his own article.
The only mention of anyone called Gray in the Official Report of the 1956 Games is on p. 18: C J Gray, a member of the Executive Committee of the Organising Committee, and his photo appears on p. 21. But that is not Dunc Gray anyway, whose initials were E L (for Edgar Laurence).
There was no "President of the Organising Committee". But there was a Chairman, Wilfrid Kent Hughes, which is confirmed in his own article. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 08:34, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
