Article title

[edit]

You've done a terrific job with this article Estar8806, though I'm a little bit unsure about its title. I don't know whether we should keep Camilla's name or not, because even though the service of thanksgiving was to mark her and Charles's coronation, the Honours of Scotland were presented exclusively to Charles. Even the article itself words it as such. The order of service on page 16 also outlines Presentation of the Honours of Scotland to His Majesty The King. Do you think that perhaps we should drop her name? Keivan.fTalk 02:14, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Keivan.f First of all, thank you for those kinds words. I truly appreciate it. On the topic of the article title, I had the same concern. @Tim O'Doherty and I discussed this a little on my talk. Originally I had it at 2023 Presentation of the Honours of Scotland, but we agreed that it should go here to match Coronation of Charles III and Camilla. Only after I had moved it did the thought the the honours were only presented to Charles cross my mind. I do think that Presentation of the Honours of Scotland to Charles III would be a perfectly fine title. estar8806 (talk) 02:20, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see. But dropping her name would not necessarily create inconsistency in article titles. We do have Proclamation of accession of Charles III and Camilla's name is nowhere to be seen. I think the title should be as accurate as possible and since the honours were not presented to Camilla then there's no point in keeping her name. I doubt anyone would oppose the change but I'd just wait a bit longer to see if anyone else has any comments. Keivan.fTalk 02:39, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. estar8806 (talk) 02:40, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Estar8806 @Keivan.f - Now BOLDLY moved, as the current title could be wrong and this discussion isn't generating comments as quickly as they are needed. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 22:19, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
