[edit]Surely From Langley Park To Memphis is PS's most successful album, not Jordan? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.202.158.200 (talk) 00:00, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
How could there possibly be a Prefab Sprout article that doesn't mention King Of Rock And Roll, perhaps the only song that anybody actually remembers them for? WMarsh 02:52, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
Why has the The Best Of - A Life Of Surprises (1992) been totally ignored? Has the whole article written by an American, where presumably it was not released? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.86.150.23 (talk) 16:43, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Most of the above appears to have been covered in the most recent version of this article (and it's associates).

Neutral POV
[edit]Okay, I love, LOVE, L-U-V Prefab Sprout. -I- think they are one of the most original acts to come out of the 1980s. That's what _I_ think. However, why do we have to persist with these pop music-related articles on WikiPedia, with the combination review/fan-boy gush/mash note treatment?
"Considered by many to be one of the best..." blahblahblah. How many is "many?" Yeah, count me in that number, but the VAST majority of folks have never heard of these guys. Sure, that's their loss, but can we POSSIBLY stick to facts in this, and other articles, regarding the acts, artists and personalities?
I say this while listening to my favorite of their albums "Jordan: The Comeback," an exquisite work fraught with so much cleverness that my iPod can't contain it all. Yeah, that's my OPINION, but not one iota of fact therein. Nothing I've written would belong in that article.
Get a clue, folks. B. Polhemus (talk) 17:04, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
i'm not a fan of pop music, but Prefab Sprout put together some very intricate and well crafted songs. I'm posting this because I have yet again reverted to listening to their songs, cannot be a bad thing? Testimony to their longevity??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.207.89.211 (talk) 06:52, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Langleypark.jpg
[edit]Image:Langleypark.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:00, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Link
[edit]Please be careful when altering the lower case letters to Let's Change the World with Music in the Discography. They are only lower case because the title of the subsequent page is written the same way. If you capitalise the letters, the link becomes broken. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Imarcopolo (talk • contribs) 11:18, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
In the external links, www.browningmcintosh.com appears to be dead. When googling the name, it's the top three results, but they all give the same 500 Internal Server Error. (I don't know how to "sign" entries here.) User:Andylindsay —Preceding undated comment added 19:24, 10 September 2011 (UTC).
- Added [dead link ] tag accordingly. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 19:43, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
Alternative?
[edit]They were never an alternative band. Their sound was more or less MOR for the period. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.228.7.95 (talk) 10:04, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
But they were on a UK independent label and as such deemed 'alternative' to the mainstream at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.162.174 (talk) 21:52, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Circular and contentious
[edit]Davidnicholsknowsbest you cannot use Wikipedia as a source, that contravenes WP:CIRCULAR. If Smith was a keyboardist, then you will need to find an independent reliable source. I have removed the reference to keyboard player for now as it can easily be re-inserted and it was a typo anyway. Happy to discuss. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 08:01, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
