Slipper

[edit]

I thought i'd pre-empt discussion. It may seem tempting to add Slipper to the left, but this would not be correct. The left of the pendulum is for govt, the right is for non-govt. Slipper became an independent, and speaker, he does not contribute to confidence and supply motions, and is not a part of the govt. Timeshift (talk) 05:33, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The changes to Slipper on this page treat this page as more of a list of current members rather than a pendulum for the next election. The pendulum should be in notional terms. Fisher is still notionally LNP. Slipper's entry should be treated the same as say a Liberal seat that has become notionally ALP because of a redistribution. The change in the seat from LNP to IND is not the same as say the 2008 change from NAT to IND in Lyne. That seat changed hands due to an election. With a defection a seat still remains notionally a seat of the party that won it at the preceding election (barring of course redistributions). For example see the Division of Ryan in pendulums for the 2010 election. Jmount (talk) 15:04, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise, Dobell is notionally ALP. There may be some other notional seat changes due to redistributions. 58.106.64.38 (talk) 06:30, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
