[edit]I found it very hard to confirm the discovery of pravastatin. PMID 1762049 offers another version, and this patent text states that the role of nocardia is only in its conversion from compactin. More assistance from a medicinal chemist needed. JFW | T@lk 08:03, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
Looks like someone who works for the manufacturer of Crestor took exception to his own company's admission in advertisements that Crestor doesn't provide any benefit for the reduction of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke. Such a reaction greatly dims the credibility of all of the articles in Wikipedia.
