Dubious statistics
[edit]This page follows the BBC article, which is different to the scorecard in three places - according to the latter, Dhanawade faced 327 balls, batted for 386 minutes, and hit 129 fours. StAnselm (talk) 14:35, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
Not easy to read but, zooming into a photo of the match scorecard, it seems to me that he scored 1,009 runs in 396 minutes from 327 balls with 129 fours and 59 sixes. Jack | talk page 16:02, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Per Cricinfo's version of the scorecard here, BlackJack's interpretation seems to be correct. I have altered the article accordingly. — Cliftonian (talk) 17:06, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Then the strike rate needs to be changed as well. But why are all the RSs so wrong? StAnselm (talk) 04:12, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, didn't spot the strike rate lower down. Changed that too per Cricinfo scorecard. It may be that someone saw a low-res copy of the scorecard and misread it? — Cliftonian (talk) 09:04, 6 January 2016 (UTC)

Year of birth?
[edit]Cricinfo says 2001, but that seems dubious, since he is being listed as a "15 year old". It's virtually certain he was born in 2000, but does anyone has a reliable source? StAnselm (talk) 13:47, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because this is obviously not an A7 candidate, as the article has been on DYK, and it is stated that, "he became the first person to score more than 1,000 runs in one innings in an officially recognised match".
