Pragyan International University is a de facto defunct university. They is not a single square inch of space owned/leased by this University in Ranchi or jharkhand state.

Moreover, the promoters Suresh and Chandan Agarwal are co accused in a fake degree case filed in West Bengal by WB Police.

The university was created by an act of jharkhand Assembly, in 2016, they were supposed to raise infrastructure in 02 years, 5000 sq metres of office space and at least 10,000 sq metres of Educational infra in a land area not less than 25 acres.
