Merge?
[edit]Should this article be merged into John Wesley Powell, or is someone working to expand it? Maikel 11:35, 31 July 2007 (UTC) I am working on it.Dutch John (talk) 01:23, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Image
[edit]The article is about the Powell Expedition of 1869, which had no photographer. The image is from the second image of 1871, which did. Should it be removed?Dutch John (talk) 01:25, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Groundbreaking
[edit]if this was an ...groundbreaking 19th century U.S. exploratory expedition of the American West,... why it is not mentioned when it starts and when it ends? Terms like in the summer and three months' are a little bit poor -- 19:03, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Distance traveled
[edit]So, how many miles of the river did the expedition cover ?
Though start and end points are mentioned (and the end point was, for a time, submerged by the waters of Lake Mead due to the building of Hoover Dam), I think knowing the mileage would make this event even more outstanding and groundbreaking--- especially for when it was done. 2600:8800:784:8F00:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 09:46, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
