Disambiguation page
[edit]I suggest that a new disambiguation page should be created about the term "potting". Indeed, although its most common meaning is " the action of placing a plant in a container filled with soil.", it also means, as stated, "The process of filling a complete electronic assembly with a thermosetting compound for resistance to shock and vibration, and for exclusion of moisture and corrosive agents." And also, in the field of plastic molding : "As opposed to "embedding" where the mold is removed, in potting the mold is a container which remains attached to the potted article; e.g. for electronic components." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.41.194.244 (talk) 15:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
