origin of constructor

engine variants
[edit]sorry, you're completely wrong. the engine type and power is not as all defined by the engineer Pottier. it is decided by builders. Therefore each built airplan can have different engine. For example my Pottier P180S has had3 different engines during his lifetime: - Limbach 62hp - Limbach 80 hp - Rolls Royce O-200 100 hp — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cosy-ch (talk • contribs) 08:06, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
wrong abreviation
[edit]Pottier never used an abbreviation with a point between the P and the numbers. Instead of that, the standard abbreviation is just P220S. This is true for all models, except for the P180, where it collides with the ICAO abbreviation for the Piaggo Avanti P180. Therefore is mandatory to add the 'S' on all models from Mr. Pottier this will distinguish the P180S from the Avanti. S stands for simplified- at that time the construction of all of the Pottiers have been so efficiently in time that no other plans reached that. At the time of first grants of his plans, the most built models have been built at least double of the time needed for a Pottier (eg. Long Eze form Burt Rutan). Pottier named all of his licensed planes based on plans for simplified and fast built metal constructions PnnnS - where nnn stands for a number. --Cosy-ch (talk) 14:51, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
