[edit]Hello Wiggy and Co. Here are some brief information about the association "Südstadt Karlsruhe", which still exists today:
1) the club was founded in 1896
2) the association is called "Karlsruhe VfB Südstadt"! Why in earlier sources, often by "FC Südstadt Karlsruhe" the speech is, is unknown. Perhaps the club in 1900 (ca.) changed its name, perhaps people spoke more generally of "Football Club".
3) 1924 VfB changed the association. He stepped out of the DFB and into the ATSB (Workers' Sports Association.
4) 1933 was the club, like all workers-sports-clubs, banned by the Nazis.
5) At the end of the Nazi-dictatorship VfB was reorganized.
6) 2001 VfB merged with the "Postsportverein Karlsruhe" (founded in 1927). Current name: "Post Südstadt Karlsruhe".
I hope, you can understand everything.
Best wishes

- Thank you so much for the information. I have updated the article to include what you have provided. I am always delighted when someone takes the time to help by sharing what they know about a club. If you ever find old VfB or Post logos/wappen and could send those along I would also like to include those in the article. Are you a PSK member or former member?
- Thank you again! The article is much better for what you have added. Wiggy! (talk) 13:17, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- I found a pin (Anstecknadel) for sale on eBay.de from the original VfB. The logo (Wappen) posted here is a rendering of the photo posted there. You can find the photo and artwork at http://www.wappencommunity.de if you are interested. Thanks again for the updated information! Wiggy! (talk) 22:54, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
