Proposed major changes

[edit]

Before I propose this page be deleted, I will make some changes. At the very least the name of this page and campaignbox group should change. The term "renegade" is a best a sensational term, at worst an ethnic slur.I have changed the status of this page to stub and hope it gets more attention.Rcollman (talk) 12:26, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Upon reflection, I decided to rename the page, not propose it for removal. The US military did conduct operations against Apache groups after 1886, so there should be a timeframe to cover these three or four conflicts.Rcollman (talk) 13:08, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Change of Title

[edit]

Shouldn't this article be titled, "Post 1886 Apache Wars." Geronimo surrendered in 1886 and this is about what happened after then. And the word "period" in the title isn't needed. Smallchief (talk) 10:15, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to agree. Also, the claim that "This is considered to be the end of the American Indian Wars" in 1924 isn't supported in any of the purported linked sources I can see (the Apache Kid entry is paywall protected). Personally I think that statement should be removed, as I've seen no RS that support it. Intothatdarkness 12:21, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Ben Aveling 16:28, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
