Brazil did not fragment because of Salvador captainship?

This seems like a dubious claim. My recollection (and this is no original research) is that when the Spanish America was attaining independence, the Portuguese King had moved, with his army, to Brazil, fleeing from Napoleon. Problems with Article and my editings (Copied(?))

I wrote several paragraphs, around 3 of them based on wikipedia already, in the case, most from the "Age of Discovery" The content is a little different, but partially identical. All should require undo or reformulation? --LuzoGraal (talk) 17:27, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
