[edit]I propose merging all of this content into History of Portland, Oregon, and having "Portland Penny" redirect there. Unless there is some substantive history that can be expanded on (e.g., the coin's history, if it has traveled through the years), I don't see a reason to have a separate article. - The penny is notable in its own right, and the article in time can be expanded. Further, this much detail would be too much for the Portland history article, as it is only one event. Important for the name, but that's it. The exposition and coming of the railroad had a much bigger impact as those helped lead to growth. The penny in a way is like the Battle for Bunker/Breeds Hill, a nice/interesting story, but in the overall scheme of things not that important (but still notable).
