--TheAmbsAce (talk) 17:11, 30 March 2018 (UTC)== Loyola University Chicago Section: Multiple Problems ==
The section "Loyola University Chicago" has (almost) no citations, a single biased source, and extreme home-team bias. Almost the entire section comes from two anonymous edits/editors:
- 23 November 2015: The section is born, via a direct copy-paste of the coach's bio from the team's booster website (The citation link is broken too, :but here is the intended target with the text for comparison. It reads like the promotional material it is.
- A block of edits starting 03:34, 7 March 2018 (comparison before and after): Unknown source, no citations, same gushing, breathless tone.
The coach is in the spotlight right now so I don't want to nuke the whole section, and I don't know enough about the subject to know where to start on cleanup. I can remove the more obvious fluff, cut it down and change the tone in the meantime, but without good sources to work with, I risk making bad information look more credible. For now, I'm just flagging the section for POV and Third Party Sources Needed.
If anyone is interested in tackling this themselves, you are free to start from whole cloth without stepping on any toes if you like. If anyone has advice on where to start, or even a link to guidelines on what constitutes a "credible source" in the sports world, I can take a crack at it. (Also, this is my first flag for issues, so if I've made any mistakes here, I'd love to know that too. Feel free to change the tags if needed.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheAmbsAce (talk • contribs) 06:34, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
