An obviously untrue statement: "Its careful design allows advanced users to have detailed control over the solution process."
[edit]I personally looked into PETSc. It installs .html files and some binaries into the include/ folder, and random config files into the bin/ folder! It is as messy as messy goes! Who wrote that it has "careful design"? It can't be called that with any stretch of the imagination, not by a long shot. Yurivict (talk) 05:00, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
