According to ABP[1], the Port of Port Talbot comprises both the Tidal Harbour, which handles cape-size bulk vessels, and Port Talbot Docks, which accommodate smaller heavy-lift and general-cargo vessels. Pondle (talk) 16:37, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Is this an official name? Welshleprechaun (talk) 19:14, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Since there is a town of Port Talbot, it can not be named that, but if you look at most of these book references,[2] only Port Talbot is capitalized, port of being a description of the port of Port Talbot, not a part of the name. However, you can still rename to Port of Port Talbot, and use port of Port Talbot in the article. 199.125.109.126 (talk) 22:21, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Port Talbot Port perhaps? Or is that too silly? Welshleprechaun (talk) 13:56, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I favour "Port of Port Talbot" because most ABP ports are called "Port of X".Pondle (talk) 17:55, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. The port operator (ABP) uses both "Port of Port Talbot" and "Port Talbot", but "Port of Port Talbot" is in reasonably common usage elsewhere (for example in Government records, in the Registry of Shipping and by the port workers union). The "Port of" naming also matches the standard convention at WikiProject Ports and distinguishes the port facilities article from the page on the town. Euryalus (talk) 10:37, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
