Legends are made
These 200-odd men are the stuff of which legends are made.
Vladimir Peniakoff surely deserves his own bio here at Wiki. For the moment, I made pages called "Vladimir Peniakoff" and "Popski" which redirect to this page "Popski's Private Army".
What I have added to this article comes from memory and other none-too-reliable sources. Please revise if I have made any mistakes. Meanwhile I'll try to get whatever help I can from the preservation societies, including the LRDG societies, who have some wonderful photos.
I've tried to use a narrative rather than scholarly style of writing, as befits such a lively and glamorous topic as PPA.
