I suspect this should be renamed (moved?) to something like Poppleton (children's books) and added to the disambiguation page. Petershank (talk) 22:55, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Character Traits?

[edit]

Could someone please describe the cast list more evocatively than "a goat who is his neighbor" and "a llama who appears more frequently than the other characters"? Surely these characters have some core traits worth mentioning. If we're not going to describe them, we might as well not have a cast list in the first place, or condense it down to "he interacts with Bob, Charlotte, and Diane (a squirrel, parrot, and zebra, respectively)." The race/species alone is not very informative, and "works at a bike store" doesn't tell us anything about the personality or why anyone would care about the character.

Compare: "Jenna, an eccentric dressmaker" and "Dale, an energetic artist" and "Violet, a fastidious mechanic."

I'm sorry if I sound snippy, but this isn't the first time I've run across an article with this kind of content-free character descriptions before. This particular series isn't one I've encountered before, and therefore I can't add useful description, but I hope someone else will. Kilyle (talk) 16:32, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
