Wouldn't "pop-culture tourism" encompass a wide range of touristic activities in Los Angeles, New York, London, or Tokyo in particular as well as other cities? Death2Objectivism16:07, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article mentions The Louvre as a popular tourist destination, as a result of the popularity of The DaVinci Code. This seems to be a dubious claim, as the Louvre has been a popular tourist destination in Paris for many years. I would venture to guess that very few people visit The Louvre because of the Dan Brown novel, instead hoping to see priceless works of art. I'm removing the reference for now, unless someone can provide a valid reason to keep it.
The link to the German site and maybe some others are completely wrong. The German site is about mass-tourism which is a completely different topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.2.251.10 (talk) 12:48, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The JA link is about seichijunrei 「精緻順礼」and is more specific to that particular topic from a Japanese subcultural context. I am going to start by creating an "In Japan" section covering seichijunrei here, but it may need to be moved to a new page. Zetagaming (talk) 23:46, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
