"Was" a brand?

Here's official word: [1] - and I quote: "Therefore, GM is announcing the phase out of the Pontiac brand by year end 2010." So at year end 2010 you folks can put the "Was" into this article and not have it reverted. Until then, it will continue to be reverted. --Manway (talk) 23:01, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Also, in the Company Info box it should NOT say the Company is "Defunct". Along with the "was" wording, this is innacurate as they are still in business, and althought GM Press announcements say it will close at the end of 2010, we all know "Nothing's final until the fat lady sings" 75.175.100.209 (talk) 08:05, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

The last Pontiac was built on November 25 2009. So although new ones will be sold for awhile, new ones aren't being made-- does this have any relevance to the debate? Deepsnowi80 (talk) 21:34, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Actually, the final Pontiac ever produced was a lone G6 in CY 2010 (See main article for link to GM's production sheets).
