[edit]The last line of the history is incorrect. It was Pontefract girls’ secondary school, in the centre of town, that was demolished to make way for a Morrison’s supermarket. Pontefract and District Girls’ High School, in Park Lane, near the racecourse, was not demolished, but became New College. Silverjan13 (talk) 11:52, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

Also the map is incorrect. The school was on Park Lane not in the middle of town. It was the girls secondary school that was centre of town, where Morrisons now stands — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.222.245.102 (talk) 17:27, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
