[edit]I have removed the following sentences:
- that makes it one of the most painful insect bites known; it scores a +4.0 on the Schmidt Sting Pain Index. An intravenous dose as small as a single microgram can cause debilitating pain comparable to a bullet wound.
In the abstracts and and the newest article http://content.febsjournal.org/cgi/reprint/271/11/2127.pdf they just say it is a paralyzing / neurotoxic agent acting at sodium channels. They do not state that it is the compound responsible for the pain. Cacycle 21:53, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
The article says, "It is being investigated for possible medical applications," but fails to list any of those medical applications. The sources are valid and the information within them all support the information on the page. Divyapitamber (talk) 23:01, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
