Hatnote
[edit]Yep, alt. spelling of a minor tribe's boss who doesn't have his own page is pretty minor... but so is the current content of this page. Feel free to create poncha (disambiguation) and link to that if you feel the current situation fails UNDUE, but don't simply blank the name. — LlywelynII 00:29, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- It would violate 3rr for me to do it, but someone else kindly restore the hatnote dab for future readers. User:Rockysantos is too lazy to google (e.g., lmgtfy.com/?q=poncha+balboa) anything on his own and apparently has WP:OWNERship issues, but presumably will eventually have better things to do than BLANKing helpful content later on. (W/r/t RS himself, yes, this did reach the point of vandalism after the 2nd revert: no, we don't source hatnotes and yes you should have googled it yourself if you happened not to know it was valid content.) — LlywelynII 02:22, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- My hatnote was
- {{hatnote|Poncha was also the Spanish transcription of a cacique encountered by [[Vasco Núñez de Balboa]] in Darien, the present-day Panama.}}
- But anything similarly pointing out the other use and providing a valid page (even a new stub on the guy himself) should be fine. Cheers. — LlywelynII 02:25, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Caipirinha and poncha
[edit]The source that states that caipirinha evolved from poncha needs to be validated or the text in the article needs to be reviewed 2001:8A0:6A51:100:8579:8F6:EAA6:D35 (talk) 00:40, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
