[edit]There is an excellent demonstration of the Polymoog on YouTube here. It shows how the keyboard is used to produce the sounds associated with Gary Numan.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 14:16, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- According to http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ , the $5,295 that the Polymoog Synthesizer cost would be around $20,000 today. Little wonder that it was criticized for being overpriced.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:51, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
(Remember The Days Of The) Old Schoolyard
[edit]Re this edit: There is a source here, but I'm not sure if Discogs is ideal. "(Remember the Days of the) Old Schoolyard" has an intro with brass polysynth chords, and this may well be a Polymoog.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:37, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- The album credits are here, taken from the vinyl album, and they look to be the same as what Discogs says. So it is verifiable that the electronic brass sounds of "(Remember the Days of the) Old Schoolyard" are played on a Polymoog, which is the only synthesizer used on that particular track. I've restored this to the article.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 13:59, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
