Controvery

[edit]

The section "Controversy" is unreliable. I was originally pushed in by one user, who got very aggressive when it was removed. The protest got some media attention, as every protest against asylum seekers gets. But the three month long protest in fact petered out after two weeks, as can be found in newspaper articles. That it was officially blown off after three months is nice, but the actual protest had died 10 weeks earlier. The Banner talk 00:45, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thing is, that section is reliably sourced - The Irish Times is a reliable source, for one. The "petered out after two weeks" bit that you added this morning, isn't sourced. So strictly speaking, it should be removed but here I am discussing it instead of just deleting it. So - do you have a reliable source to show that this happened? Also, I tried to beef out the article with an infobox, geolocation, etc, etc to balance out the controversy section - I'm pretty sure you and I can add more to the page that will cast Pollagh in a broader light. I'm trying - are you? - Alison talk 20:53, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
