References

[edit]

Sunray, I was curious about the inclusion of the two references at the end of the article:

  1. The STORM Coalition
  2. Revised Statutes of Ontario. 2001. The Oak Ridges Moranie Conservation Act

Shouldn't the References section cite works actually used as source material? Should we make a separate section for these, or just list them as external links? Mindmatrix 18:32, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

TO DO

Please add or amend these as you see fit. Mindmatrix 21:23, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  1. create a timeline of political events related to the ORM
  2. determine the involvement of the Toronto Region Conservation Authority and Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority in developments on and near the ORM (both have been criticized to some extent)
  3. was the ORM used prominently during other elections
In particular, the last prov. election, where the Tories were accused of so-called "secret deals" to allow housing on the Moraine Skeezix1000 12:58, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  1. describe York Region's Big Pipe project in more detail
  2. describe associated conservation plans (eg Ontario's GTA Greenbelt protection plan)
  3. clearly describe the role and effects of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan
  • cite how municipal governments amended Planning documents in accordance to the plan
  • determine changes in policy by the provincial government
  • determine effects on developers and land-owners
  • determine effects on farming

Requested media

  • Bayview Avenue extension
  • construction of the pipes in King City, or the northward extension from Markham
