Screenshots
there has currently been some kind of edit war over whether to keep screenshots. due to the fact that a large majority of episode lists use screenshots and there has been no policy instituted through WP:FUC preventing them, it seems unfair and illogical to prevent their presence on this page until a policy is instituted. Having said that, in keeping with spirit of fair-use, in that the image should add worth to the article and not merely serve as "decoration" contributors should feel compelled to replace screenshots that are not episode-defining with ones that are. -Zappernapper 21:25, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- I completely agree. -- Ned Scott 03:17, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Individual Articles
Should these not be individual articles instead of one, short descriptioned one? Other cartoons such as The Simpsons and South Park have their own articles.
--J52
Naruto too has individual pages, so if people are willing to create these pages then they should make them. There are no rules against it, so feel free to create them, and don't forget to make the episode names here link to the pages you create JayKeaton 08:52, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Panima series01 logo.gif
Image:Panima series01 logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wierd formatting
The first line of the episode table is mix of undone HTML junk. It makes no sense, but I don't know what's been done. Can someone sort this out?82.28.52.25 (talk) 10:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Move?
- Move to List of Pokémon: Indigo League episodes?
- Reason: I'd like to move them to match the other seasons of Pokemon episodes. Example: List of Pokemon: The Johto Journeys episodes and all the others are the same as The Johto Journeys, but season 1 (Indigo League) and season 2 (Orange Islands) are not like that (they are like "List of Pokemon episodes (season 1/2)), so I'd like to move them so they match how the other List of Pokemon episodes articles are.
- Permission granted? PhilKnight is the the administrator who informed me to post here. - Eugene Krabs (talk) 23:04, 10 February 2009 (UTC) (moved from Wikipedia:Requested moves by Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:24, 11 February 2009 (UTC))
- I have to Oppose it. It was not called "Pokemon: Indigo League" (another common, maybe even more common, unofficial name for season 1 was "Pokemon: The Road to Indigo"). That is nothing more than one of the various fan names used for the first season. TJ Spyke 23:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Requesting to revert back to good version.
There are two reasons why Cool Cat's edits are incorrect.
1. It indeed should be Season 1: Pokémon: Indigo League 1998-1999.
2. That Pokemon level 70 and above thing is only in the games.
Just look at the left side here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_episodes_(season_1)&diff=272632936&oldid=272631687
Opinions? - Eugene Krabs (talk) 02:53, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- The first reason is wrong, when the series first premiered it didn't have a name except for "Pokemon" the name "Indigo League" was a name invented for the DVD, the first season is nameless. And two, what kind of discussion starts with "your edits are wrong"? The Cool Kat (talk) 13:13, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- There. Anyway, I know for a fact that the second reason is correct for sure (it's only in the games). Mind if I change that? - Eugene Krabs (talk) 02:36, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- I wouldn't know about that one, i don't play video games. But if you can find a source for the info being incorrect you can change it. The Cool Kat (talk) 12:42, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Episode 57: The Breeding Center Secret Note
There should be a note about the first appearance of Jame's Weepinbell (which really appeared as evolved, a Victribell). James never catches a Weepinbell in the first season; something must have been mixed up. I heard there was an episode in the second season where he catches the Weepinbell. Further research on this needed.
Copyright Violation/Plagiarism
Several (if not all) episode summaries in this list are a plagiarism of the same on other various web sites. Some of them were introduced here by Ragnaroknike (talk · contribs). Yo can compare with this (posted in 2004, search for "Ash is upset and intends to battle again") while the changes were made in 2006. Something Missing
In the section where it talks about the box set it talks about how "beauty and the Beach" isn't in it but, that makes 79 not 78 so what other episode is missing?

~~Episode 52: Princess vs. Princess Air Date~~ This episode took place before So Near, Yet So Farfect'd as Togepi is nowhere to be seen. It should have been broadcast after the episode Holy Matrimony where it focused on James' backstory prior to his association with Team Rocket. For some reason it was broadcast as a Season 2 episode which is strange because Misty never got Togepi until the episode Who Gets To Keep Togepi in which it makes its debut appearance. Did the producers of the show somehow overlook this episode? Did they not understand which episode to air when the show was on Kids' WB at the time of its broadcast? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.21.141.11 (talk) 15:09, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
UK DVD
I looked on HMV just now and there appears to be a UK release for the entire Indigo League saga. It'll be out on 30 October 2017.

Mixed with Orange Islands
The Indigo League only has 52 episodes and the rest are Pokemon Season 2: Adventures in the Orange Islands. Source: Explore Seasons Pokemon.com--97.113.189.20 (talk) 00:12, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

I know that this place isn't for the things like this
But please. Can someone tell me where can I find all Indigo League and Orange Islands episodes in Japanese with English subtitles? I know that I shouldn't ask about it here but you need to understand me. I have been looking for Japanese version but to no avail. I want to watch these episodes in Japanese because I am sick and tired of English version. I want to watch original version and English version drives me mad. Please, don't revert my message, because I am fed up with English version. Temuera (talk) 20:49, 5 September 2019 (UTC)Temuera
Change order of some episodes
On the Pokemon wiki (at least, on one of them, though it makes sense continuity-wise also) the episode "Princess vs. Princess" comes before "So close, yet so Farfetch'd" because in the latter episode Jessie already mentions to have captured Licketung. According to the wiki, she captured it in "Princess vs. Princess", which here is placed after the "Farfetch'd" episode.92.114.148.141 (talk) 19:48, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

– Articles on seasons of other anime series follow this pattern: Naruto (season 1), Dragon Ball Z (season 1), One Piece (season 1), and even the FAs Bleach (season 1) and Bleach (season 2). A more similar situation to the Pokémon seasons happened when the Sailor Moon seasons were moved (i.e. List of Sailor Moon R episodes to just Sailor Moon R). - LoЯd ۞pεth 23:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose moving to Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon: Black & White, Pokémon: XY and Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon as these are ambiguous with the games they are named after. Neutral on the other moves but agree that they all should be consistent. Iffy★Chat -- 13:52, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose same as the above guy, that will just cause confusion with the video games.Muur (talk) 14:26, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- Strongly support moving the non-controversial ones as proposed – this is part and parcel of WP:ANIME's annoying habit of not calling TV "season" articles what they are: "List of [...] episodes" titling should be reserved for those articles that list episodes of multiple TV seasons at once (with only very rare exceptions) as per WP:NCTV. I don't have an obvious solution for the controversial ones right now – suggest they be handled in a subsequent separate WP:RM. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:43, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support moving all titles that are not ambiguous with video games, per User:IJBall. BD2412 T 18:19, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support moving titles that are not ambiguous per Iffy. I suggest crossing out the titles that share names with the video games so you won't have to make a different proposal, and so it's easier for the reviewer. Some Dude From North Carolinawanna talk? 02:34, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support moving all titles, including those ambiguous with video games which would then be disambiguated with "(TV season)". WP:NCTV is very clear that season articles should be titles as such and not as list of episodes. There is only one list of episodes (or several when page size is an issue) which holds as many seasons as it can. --Gonnym (talk) 16:46, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- Still a better idea to handle the controversial ones in a separate follow-up WP:RM – "(TV season)" is non-standard disambiguation, so there should be a discussion about that. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:33, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Note: I have stricken the "controversial ones", as per Some Dude From North Carolina above – there seems to be consensus for moving the others, but these stricken entries will have to be followed up on in a separate WP:RM. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:05, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Copy/paste move shenanigans
I just reverted some copy/paste moves done by Yeungkahchun on the 4 above stricken pages from the move discussion, but can someone more familiar with these pages take care of the fallout? The pages at List of Pokémon: Black & White episodes, List of Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon episodes, and List of Pokémon: XY episodes have preserved histories, but Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl episodes now has the history of the original page, List of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl episodes.--十八 07:18, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
My apologies for this fallout. I didn't realize that you couldn't move pages that way, thank you for explaining to me. I thought it was inconsistent that DP, BW, XY, SM season articles had "List of __ episodes" title (first seasons of their series named after the games) whereas the rest of the seasons didn't. My sincerest apologies for disrupting the pages. Yeungkahchun (talk) 19:07, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
