Per WP:CAPS and WP:TITLE: this is a proper noun referring to a single and specific information element in an international standard. It does not refer to a general code used to identify general points. — Dgtsyb (talk) 22:38, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. This is not a proper name. The article itself shows that it is indeed a general term for entities of a certain class: "An SS7 point code is similar to an IP address in an IP network."
- Neither WP:CAPS nor WP:TITLE gives support to this RM.

- Oppose - Not a proper name, point code is just a concept. Stick with the MoS - no need for an exception here. Jojalozzo 02:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose—not a proper noun. When in doubt, use lower case, our guides and policies tell us. But there is no doubt here. Tony (talk) 04:29, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
