Which image?

[edit]

I think that having an image of this sculpture is very important, and I've found three photos on Flickr. (They're all CC-BY-SA, by the way.)

Tell me which, if any, are good enough to be uploaded and added into the article. David1217 What I've done 18:24, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delayed response! I am still uncertain about whether or not images of sculptures can be added to Commons or Wikipedia (fair use?). If you are familiar with guidelines and know the images can be uploaded, why not upload all three? Of the three, my favorite is the second. --Another Believer (Talk) 02:12, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I just looked at the guidelines, and sculpture pictures is considered non-free content (copyrighted), so whether they're CC-BY-SA doesn't matter. Scratch that, we have to respect the license of the picture-taker as well as the artist. I found that out by uploading the image, so  Done. Image rename

[edit]

Regarding this edit, which I reverted, I have requested a file rename at Commons and will update the file name here at Wikipedia as soon as possible. Thanks. --Another Believer (Talk) 16:06, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Extra picture

[edit]

As the picture of the plaque was deleted, I don't suppose another picture could be added? Or is that extra illustration for the sake of it?--TangoTizerWolfstone (talk) 16:33, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Since the subject is a contemporary work of art, only one image can be used under fair use rules. I think it is absurd that plaque images are sometimes deleted, but I leave that to the Commons contributors and Wikipedians more familiar with images policies than I am. At this time, I am not sure there is another image that could be added to the article, unfortunately. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:54, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
