This page was deleted a while back, after apparently being added as a stub by another user and then left as a stub by said user. So this automated speedy deletion was reborn, not unlike a Phoenix, upon my creation of this new, deluxe-ified article today. The band's discography has grown so large as to not be easily ignorable; media interest (dare I almost say "frenzied media interest") in Best Coast, a band that is played almost on continual loop on Sirius XM radio, has fueled "above-ground" interest in Pocahaunted, as has the addition of several members of other notable L.A.-area bands. (I decided not to mention in the main article that Diva Dompe/Dompé is the daughter of Bauhaus / Tones On Tail / Love And Rockets drummer Kevin Haskins, not that her ancestry really matters...) Please do a web search for "Pocahaunted" to find out why this band qualifies as notable per Wikipedia guidelines. For example: http://www.boomkat.com/artist.cfm?a=24261 says "In recent years, Pocahaunted have been one of the most active groups on the US improv/psych scene, releasing countless cassettes and other such ephemera..." They are so big/influential in their field of music that their importance to it almost goes without saying, which is why it's hard for me to just pin down one reason to keep them on Wikipedia, though Wikipedia is clearly much cooler with P-Haunt onboard rather than offboard, and having them here of course activates lots of red links on other Wikipedia articles written by users who clearly believed Pocahaunted would someday be on here to stay.
