History
[edit]This page could really use a history section for the town, specifically it's founding. I've been looking online for some information but haven't been able to find much. Can anyone help? Farkeld (talk) 13:14, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- A search of Google Books turns up this book that might be useful for writing something up. --Polaron | Talk 14:45, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- I began a small history section with the basic information I found in the hopes other editors might add any information they find. Thank you--BuzyBody (talk) 23:05, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
Notable people section
[edit]I removed Kenneth Dayton, Horace R. Wittier and Josiah Wood of Ct from the notable people section because they did not have Wikipedia articles establishing their notability, per Wikipedia guidelines. I listed their information below in the event an editor creates a Wikipedia article for them: "Kenneth Dayton, budget director of New York City from 1937 to 1943 during the administration of the late mayor Fiorello la Guardia and Deputy director of its successor.[1]" "Horace R. Wittier, President of Cooper Thermometer in Pequabuck." "Josiah Wood of Ct 20th century clock maker, inspired by Eli Terry" Thank you--BuzyBody (talk) 23:02, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
