[edit]Can someone change the picture of plies thats most ignorant thing I've ever seen. --Debo7 (talk) 06:16, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Plies is married to Dallas DeJesus! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.8.212.128 (talk) 20:11, 11 November 2009 (UTC) to diversementality, i created an article for Plies' third album, Da Realist. Despite it being all over the internet and generally highly publicized; the fact that it is an LP from a highly notable artist, you deleted it because it wasn't notable. Not notable??? WTF? Plies has sold over 1 million records and 1.5 million ringtones and his 3rd album isnt notable? Yet wikipedia have articles for mixtapes from artists alot less notable and relevant than Plies. Get your work right. ps. your a dick —Preceding unsigned comment added by Weekinger (talk • contribs) 20:22, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

- You can do it--just find reliable sources that have information that we can use. Wikipedia is 100% volunteer run, so it's up to regular readers like yourself to improve the information. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:58, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Plies Education
[edit]The wiki article states Plies attended University of Alabama, when in fact he did not. Plies briefly attended the University of South Florida.
***The boy needs to further his education...he can't tell the difference between an AK-47, and a Thompson sub-machine gun (which has been the CHOPPA since 1921, NOT the AK-47!)***and in the year 2009 plies sold over 19 million copies on his mix-tape named Plies-Aristotle. and he also came back with another album named Goon Affiliated which sold over 20 million copies in the year of 2010. in the year 2011 he made a album name you need people like me which sold 30 million copies. In the year 2012 he made a mix-tape called on trail 2 which he is almost at 25 million copies he already sold 15 20 million copies and his album of the year in 2012 called my world he sold over 50 million copies. And this man is making more money the LilWayne he also is making more money then the hold YMCMB crew. And Rick Ross couldn't make that much money. It look like the artist plies is taking over the rap game so these artist better upgrade their style and music to take out plies.

Plies (rapper) → Plies — Unneeded redirect. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 04:15, 15 April 2010 (UTC) SE KinG. User page. Talk. 04:15, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. To most people the dominant meaning of "plies" is as plural of "ply" and in e.g. "He plies his trade". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 06:22, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Smart-aleck comment: That's not actually an example of a plural ("He" being singular). >;-) — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 08:31, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Just seems pointless. Niteshift36 (talk) 09:31, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Request for clarification: Uh, what seems pointless, the redirect being as it is, or the request for a page-move? You've posted what must be the single most uninterpretable !vote in Wikipedia history. Heh. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 08:31, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose. Definitely not the primary topic. — ξxplicit 19:02, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose: It's a general word in the English language. When I put out my eagerly-anticipated first album under my rapper name of "Scissors" I wouldn't expect Scissors to go directly to an article about me, no matter how many copies I sell or charts I inevitably top. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 08:31, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Comment - This isn't about Plies being the primary topic, it is about the fact that it is an unneeded redirect. Plies redirects to Ply, the fact that it is a plural form of a word should not mean that it deserves it's own redirect page. SE KinG. User page. Talk. 12:24, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- Strong oppose it DOES NOT REDIRECT HERE!!! So how can you even say that it is an unneeded redirect??? 70.29.208.247 (talk) 05:18, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose: Generally, plurals should redirect to the singular form. Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:41, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose Not the primary topic. Skinsmoke (talk) 01:19, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

plies birthdate
[edit]if you say plies was born in 1983 how could he play for the university of miami in 1996 or even 1997 that would only make him either 13 or 14 impossible please check your facts wiki tells nothing but lies —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.242.183.207 (talk) 20:15, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

He is born in 1976 not 1983.
108.27.249.162 (talk) 18:15, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Partly done: Well, I agree that 1983 makes no sense--as someone points out above, that would make him a college sophomore at 13. However, since no source is provided for 1976, I'm just removing it entirely. The source in "Early Life" only states the location he was born, not the day or year. Until such time as a reliable source is provided, we should leave out the birthdate. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:57, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Other claimed albums
[edit]in the year 2007 plies made and album called the The Real Testament in made a big sale on that album he sold 30 million copies in that one year.In the year 2008 plies made another album called Da REAList which he made 25 million copies and the following year.2009 he made a mix-tape called you need people like me and he sold 30 million copies. He also made a album in 2010 named Goon Affiliated which made a major sell.and the year 2011 he made a mix-tape named Ms.Becky which he made 40 million copies on.He also came out with a major mix-tape called on trail an on trail 2 which both sold over 50 million copies. And by next year plies would have took over YMCMB ,the boss an will be up their with jay z,puff daddy and the other major artist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.138.115.54 (talk) 00:14, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

"Controversy" section
[edit]This section needs fixing: appears to be a quote from somebody, but is censored. This odd kind of censorship has no place in an encyclopaedia.
"Concert altercation" section
[edit]About 50% of what the attacker is quoted as saying is intelligible. Is there some way of parenthetically indicating what the hell he's going on about after the quote? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.67.24 (talk) 13:49, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
