A new kids' book partially set in the Pletzl

[edit]

I recommend adding a reference to The Night War by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. (https://bookshop.org/p/books/the-night-war-kimberly-brubaker-bradley/20586227) It's a middle grade fiction book about a kid from the Pletzl who escapes when the Nazis round up all the Jewish residents from her neighborhood in 1942 and stays hidden in a convent elsewhere in France. The first three chapters have descriptions of the neighborhood and the next has the day of the roundup itself, where the people are taken to the Vélodrome d’Hiver. There's an author's note in the back with more details about the actual history.

By "reference" I mean to add it to the bibliography (or create some sort of section on literary references). Probably the details of the book listed on the plaque (...the Roger Ikor novel, Les Eaux Mêlées ("Agitated Waters")...) should be in the bibliography as well. 165.123.228.19 (talk) 20:09, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
