What are listed in this article as separate branches or stirpes are actually the same one, the members within first & second cousins of each other. Plautius Lateranus is the only one of that branch to have that cognomen -- the rest having none -- & according to Lily Ross Taylor, both branches descend from an A. Plautius, praetor in 51 BC., whose ancestry can be traced for another generation or two, & have ties to the town of Trebula Suffenas (modern Ciciliano). (Taylor, "Trebula Suffenas and the Plautii Silvani", Memoirs of the American Academy in Rome, 24 (1956), pp. 7ff) I suggest these two branches be combined into one as the Plautii Silvani. -- llywrch (talk) 18:14, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Llywrch: I've put it together now. Better late than never I guess.
