Wal-Mart
[edit]I remember in the days before Dubuque had it's own Wal-Mart people would often drive to either Platteville or Maquoketa, Iowa if they wanted to shop at Wal-Mart. We'd go to Maquoketa as it was a bit closer for us. JesseG 21:32, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
The M
[edit]Shouldn't something be included about the World's Largest M and how it is lit a couple of times a year? Porsche_gal 00:08, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- The what? Tomertalk 05:36, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah! That'd be a great addition! Even though it is in the next county. ;^) If memory serves, I think there's something about it at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville article; but it hurts me to try to read that thing. --BaronLarf 12:01, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- The UW-Platteville article has a detailed writing about the "M". It probably is best served there as it is part of the UWP tradition. It includes all the details - including the lighting, whitewashing, etc.--master_sonLets talk 22:33, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
