Added "Platform as a service" to the German Wikipedia, but deleted
Dear contributors, I wanted to add "Platform as a service" to the German Wikipedia. But some admin guys mentioned that this item is not relevant and deleted my content without any discussion. Any ideas or comments? --Editor81669 (talk) 15:08, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
No ideas but have found that there is a predelicition towards deletion of any topic that is technical in nature, especially pertaining to computing. I wonder why the [Muscular Dystrophy] page doesn't have "contains buzz words" label attached to it??? -- 40.0.96.1 (talk) 15:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
Dear contributors
I come to PaaS fresh from the CRM/VRM discussion - Customer Relationship Management - looking at social networks (among other things) from the point of the view of a business and Vendor Relationship Management - looking at social networks from the point of view of a user or customer. Included in the augmented edit I included concepts from Douglas Engelbart's Open Hyperdocument System Collective Intelligence and Networked Improvement Communities. Open Platform as a Service
Dear contributors,
Open Platform as a Service is a trademark of Sullivan Software Systems. As such, it refers to a specific service of Sullivan Software Systems. To the same, please remove the incorrect AppScale reference. openplatformasaservice.com would be an accurate reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.97.213.192 (talk) 19:56, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
I disagree with this comment - Open in this case refers to Open Source, which openplatformasaservice.com doesn't seem to be. I think the reference should stay until some proof is provided for its removal.MJaggard (talk) 07:49, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
2013 - "Curated" list of PaaS providers
A claim has been made that the list of PaaS providers is "curated" whereas I see entries that are not necessarily so notable. What are the criteria for inclusion, how are they applied and how are other editors to know of them? How do we justify the inclusion of each entry in the list that does not have an article? Also, I do not think we should be linking to external sites directly from the article. We can use references to do that but it's inappropriate and promotional to do so in the article. - If you're going to remove external links, you also need to remove the AppFog and SlipStream entries as well. Leaving these in makes it look like this was a targeted (not neutral) removal. That's not to say you meant for it to look this way, but it can be misconstrued as such. RogueSly Talk 00:51, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Marketing page!? Someone just clean it up!
This page is almost nothing more than a marketing exercise, completely unsuitable for Wikipedia! Someone trim the heck out of it and get rid of all those unsubstantiated marketing claims.
I'd do it myself but I'm sure someone would just undo my changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.18.118.72 (talk) 11:06, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Fixed broken link - then someone undid it to go back to the broken link
I changed the open platform as a service inventor interview link to go to a cached page of the article as the original link is no longer up. Someone undid it. I think it makes more sense to have the working link than a dead link :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.53.247.221 (talk) 00:23, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
